Burkard Does It Again

Chris Burkard has landed another iconic cover with his shot of Josh Mulcoy banking a lip in Alaska with a beautiful snow-capped mountain as the backdrop. Much of the chatter on social media is hailing this as one of the best Surfer Magazine covers of all time. We tend to agree. Nice work Burky!

DJ and Damo

When he's not freediving and spearfishing giant fish, you can find DJ Struntz linking up with surfing's top pros. DJ and Damien Hobgood have been friends and travel partners for years, so it's quite appropriate that they landed the latest cover of Surfing Magazine's world travel issue. Well done boys!

Childs Nails Latest Surfer Cover

Ace photographer Jason Childs captured the November 2013 cover of Surfer Magazine with this shot of John John Florence in a green cavern in Indonesia. Jason has been based out of Bali for over 15 years and his knowledge of the surf in the area allows him to get the best surfers in the best spots.

Zak Noyle Atop a White Horse

We're stoked that A-Frame photographer Zak Noyle had his shot of Kalani Chapman standing tall in a rainbow-backed Tahitian shack chosen to grace the cover of the 4th issue of White Horses. If you haven't checked out White Horses, you need to. More megazine than magazine, this beauty deserves space on your coffee table rather than your bathroom.

Cover Boy

Male model, turned A-Frame Photographer, Ryan Miller has claimed his second consecutive cover of the much talked about Australian surf magazine STAB. Miller isn't new to the cover game but scoring back to back covers of the same publication is quite a feat. American magazine, TWSurf, got onto Ryan's work earlier this year with a Dane Reynolds cover (Feb 2010 issue) and he's been featured in both Surfer, Surfing and The Surfer's Journal on a regular basis over the last few years. He's become a favorite among the new school crew of surfers, not only because he has a knack for cover shots, but he's just plain fun to be around. His commercial work has blossomed recently as well with campaigns for Casio, O'Neill and DVS/Matix. For now it looks like his modeling career will unfortunately take a backseat to his photography. It's just rare that a photographer can be as equally talented in front of the lens as he is behind it. You'll be seeing more of him in the future for sure. Yikes, we mean more of his work.
