Ryan Craig Wins the 2014 Follow the Light Awards

 

Congratulations are in order for our friend and A-Frame team member, Ryan "Chachi" Craig. Ryan captured the coveted Follow the Light Foundation award on July 29th, beating out a talented group of finalists. Equally adept shooting from the water and land, Chachi has a keen eye for unique angles and lighting.

9th Annual Follow the Light Award Ceremony

We always look forward to the Follow the Light Foundation Award Ceremony. First and foremost, it's a great tribute to our friend Larry "Flame" Moore. Larry was a great photographer, photo editor, mentor and, most importantly, a great person. These awards also showcase some amazing photography from some up and coming talents. This year's finalists are Ryan Craig, Woody Gooch, Seth DeRoulet, Dane Grady and Rambo Estrada. For a closer look at their work click here.

 The Follow the Light Foundation awards took place last night and once again the competition was fierce. Any one of the finalists could have taken home the top prize, but in the end it was Shawn Parkin coming out on top. Well done Shawn! The other finalists were Sarah Lee (People's Choice Award Winner), Matt Kurvin, Mike Smolowe and A-Frame contributor Ryan Craig.

Then follow the light....The Follow the Light Foundation (FTLF) is calling all photographers to submit their applications for its annual $5,000 grant in honor of the late Larry “Flame” Moore.

Entries must be received no later than Friday, April, 13, 2012.

A-Frame's Chris Burkard Wins Prestigious Red Bull Illume Event

Burkie added yet another feather to his cap this week with his huge win at the Red Bull Illume. Not only is Chris one of the most talented new photographers on the scene today but he's probably the most humble guy in the same space. Chris lets his work speak for itself and these days that voice is getting pretty loud. The Illume event is the world's premier action and adventure sports photography competition and this year the submissions reached a staggering 22,764 images. Those were culled down to 50 finalists and Mr. Burkard came out on top of the pack with his show stopping image of Peter Mendia in a flared out green dream of a tube in Buchupero, Chile.

We couldn't be more proud of Chris and look forward to the massive celebration upon his return. Way to go Burkie!
