Uragano (Hurricane) Kelly

Felicitazione to Kelly Slater and photographer Todd Glaser for scoring the latest cover of Men's Health in Italy. From what we can gather (through an online translation tool) from the cover blurb, Men's Health is looking into the secret of Slater's perfect physique. We're guessing it's not extra helpings of pasta and pizza.

Beached Days and Creatures From The Deep

Last night we took the short jaunt into Laguna Beach to check out two events. Beached Days is a new magazine from Mitch Abshere aka Captain Fin and the launch party was held at the ultra hip Thalia Surf Shop.

Steve Sherman sharing some stories

A-Frame photographers Tom Servais, Tom Carey, Todd Glaser and Steve Sherman all have some great images included in the maiden issue. Pick up a copy at a surf shop near you today.

Creatures From The Deep was described as a "menagerie of monsters, mermaids, and marine nightmare" from artists such as lex Rico, Andy Anderson, Anne Faith Nicholls, C.R. Stecyk III, Daniel Rolnik, Diana Danielis, Evan Ferrell, Garry Booth, Hannah Greenspan, Harry Diaz, Jason Maloney, J.P. Olson, Jennie Cotterill, Jesse Ortega, Jesse Tise, JOSHR, Kassandra Carey, Kevin Bannister, Lyndsey Lesh, Michael C Hsiung, Monster Kat, Nancy Chiu, Nicole Emmons, Shing Yin Khor, Stink, Susanne Melanie Berry, Tim Liles and Yevgeniya Mikhailik.

Here are a few of our favorite pieces along with a couple shots of a great band (The Manx) that entertained the crowd. Go check it out for yourself at 225 Forest St in Laguna Beach.

Quiksilver Airlines?

Hold on a second. Have things completely turned around already? Have the planets realigned themselves and Quiksilver is again the rightful leader of the surf world? Whatever has happened, extremely savvy marketing initiative or not, we love seeing our work on airplanes and this double-sided beauty goes out to Mr. Todd Glaser. Todd photographed Julian during a recent shoot in Nicaragua for Julian's, Irons Brother's Productions, film called Scratching the Surface. Fasten your seat belts and get those trays stowed boys it's going to be a wild ride. Click here to read more.

Surfer Magazine Photo of the Year

Photo: Todd Glaser/A-Frame

Congratulations to A-Frame's Todd Glaser for not only claiming 2 SURFER covers this year, but for taking home the coveted FOTY Award. Since being on staff at SURFER Todd has proven himself as one of the up and coming shinning stars on a staff that hosts the best in the business. Todd loves shooting film and gets so immersed with his subjects that the candid nature of his work has a refreshing take that puts you in the moment.

This month Todd's images of Greg Long and Grant "Twiggy" Baker were featured in a FUEL TV campaign in the Denver International Airport (deserving of it's own post on this blog shortly)
